Opportunities are like babies.
And now as a grandmother (OMFG! I just wrote that…yes I did. Breathing….🤯 Milestone!!!!! in my life here folks.)
As I look into the eye’s of my one week old grandson,
I have a whole new awareness for life come through me.
And it is all about the many beautiful, chilling, scary, and exciting opportunities that life provides us.
Holding this sweet angel in my arms just last night,
it came into my heart 💞
that opportunities are always all around us.
Years back,
in my twenties when I was part of a financial service company I was big into self-growth. I was off to all the major players events. Reading their books, listening to their audios and absorbing everything that I could.
There was this statement that was often said that I felt like I “should” believe.
But my SOUL always and still does say eff that sh*t!
The statement was,
“You only get two major opportunities in life. If you miss the first you better recognize the second, because otherwise it will be too late. Which is this one?”
I looked out at the people all around me.
My elders.
The leaders.
I saw so many people scrambling around,
working their bums off in a hasty attempt to make sure they did not miss the boat.
They were drenched in fear.
Their actions all came from this same place.
And they wondered why they were not being blessed with more abundance manifesting in their lives.
So they worked harder.
and harder.
They door knocked.
They went to every event they could that sold them on if you do this and this then all your dreams will happen.
They studied,
got all the licenses they needed,
they set daily, weekly, monthly, annual, ten year GOALS.
They happily got their a*s kicking in from the leaders.
The one’s who were making sh*t happen.
And they jumped into the game of healthy competition.
Ask someone back then in my circle how they were and you would get a script Tom Hopkins response, “Unbelievable!”
LOL.
But internally, behind the BIG effing smile.
Behind the BIG lofty GOALS.
Behind all the training’s and workshops.
Was a scared human being who desperately desired to just be seen, to be embraced.
Loved for who they were.
and PAID effing great for it too.
And they feared they were not WORTHY.
They feared they were not GOOD ENOUGH.
They feared that they were not SMART enough.
They feared so much.
But what they feared more than anything,
was that this was their second BIG opportunity to CLAIM their LIFE.
To make sh*t happen FINALLY.
To once and for all live life the way that God had intended for them.
The way that their SOUL wanted.
It was the CALL from deep withing that they feared.
They feared that they could not answer it.
That they would miss it.
And that all would be lost.
And you know what the sad truth is and was?
They were correct.
They were correct,
not because this was the last opportunity.
Not because we are only offered two opportunities in our life.
(that is sheer craziness anyway)
but because they were coming at life,
coming at this opportunity,
from FEAR.
And because they focused so hard on what they feared.
They created just that in their lives.
As I sat here last night at my daughters home,
children playing all around me.
Laughter in the air.
Good food and wine on the table.
And this sweet little blessing in my arms.
I realized that no matter how hard we try and eff it up,
no matter how often we turn our back on our SOUL CALLING.
No matter how much we fear life or the loss of it.
We are NEVER more that a thought,
an inspired feeling,
away from OPPORTUNITY.
From GETTING IT ALL RIGHT.
And what does getting it all right mean,
when you cannot get it wrong?
It means that you STOP FEARING,
and you simply START ACTING from HEART and SOUL.
Just as a baby nuzzles it’s face around looking for milk,
searching with anticipation,
hungry for satisfaction.
We too, must do the same with life.
The statement about opportunity is correct about one thing though.
“Will you recognize it?”
Well will you?
The main issue we have in our humanness is that we miss all the blessings,
all the opportunities that around us,
because we are blinded by our fear.
The only answer to you ever need really get,
if you are wanting to create a life of abundance.
A life worthy of your SOUL.
Is to STOP overly examining the IS that is in your current time frame. And start applying yourself to the life that you want.
Just like Einstein said, “Attention goes where energy flows.”
This is perhaps one of the most obvious manifestation tools.
It is foundational.
We claim to get it.
It makes logical sense. But we consistently have the greatest trouble grasping it truly.
But if you want to design the life of your dreams,
then you have to stop observing the life of your nightmares or your boredom.
What you focus on become’s prominent.
Opportunities are like babies.
Babies focus only on the moment and what they need to feel satisfied.
You and I both have many blessings around us.
We have much satisfaction.
Yet we often choose to focus on all that we do not have instead and then bi*ch about more of that showing the eff up.
Become like a baby in your focus on your dreams.
Nuzzle up to them and stay close.
Take everything else out of your mind and just sip away at all that life has to offer you.
Because it is so yummy.
And good for YOU.
Good for your SOUL.
This is alignment love.
