This is a generalized outline of what a Tantric Integration Series looks like although it can change from what is here because of emotional release that occurs and guides client and practitioner a different path for the session.
Session 1 – Freedom to Breathe
The first session is the most general of the ten and begins by freeing the superficial fascia and underlying intercostal muscle strain between the ribs to improve the breathing pattern. After this, the hips are briefly addressed and the session ends with shoulder, jaw and neck work. We focus on vagus nerve soothing in this session to help reduce anxiety, fatigue, and hyperactivity of the mind and emotions. Session is supported with energetic practices around the heart and throat chakras.
Session 2 – Support, Pride and Flexibility
The second session focuses on the feet, legs and knees to improve foot function and proper contact with the ground. Once this is done, the remainder of the session is spent lengthening the back, sometimes with the client in a seated position or on side. There is also a focus applied to hips and pelvis to restore proper blood flow and flexibility so that you can feel rooted and stable in your actions. Session is supported with energetic practices around the root chakra and solar plexus.
Session 3 – Creating Space and Owning Yourself
The third session works along the lateral aspect (sides) of the torso, including the shoulder girdle, ribcage, mid and lower back, lateral abdominal muscles, gluteal region and hip joint to improve the relationship between the hips, shoulders and jaw line. Our bodies mirror themselves and in this session we focus on that mirror for release and de-armouring of stored anger, bitterness, inability to forgive, worthiness issues and communication. Session is supported with energetic practices around solar plexus and throat chakras as well as heart core center.
Session 4 – Finding Your Core, As Above So Below
The fourth session works with the adductor muscles (the muscles on the insides of the legs) and the medial aspect (inside) of the lower legs to help establish a more efficient gait as well as the sternum and back of neck to start the integration of core functions of vagus nerve sensory and processing.
Session 5 – Core Activation for Relaxation, Clarity, Creativity & Sexual Health
Session five focuses on the costal arch, abdominal region and hip flexors (iliopsoas group) to initiate proper forward leftest movement. A stilted or penguin-like walking pattern is a clear sign that the hip flexors are not functioning properly. This is perhaps the most key session of the series and a turning point for many. In this session start the process of harmonizing your intrinsic nature of masculine/feminine poles. Session is supported with energetic practices around chakras 1 to 3. You will be asked to assist in the movement and breathing process for de-armourning.
Session 6 – All About The Spine to Align
This session covers the dorsal (back) side of the body from the feet to the base of the neck with emphasis given to the lateral rotators – those buttock muscles responsible for turning our legs outward. Many clients say this session marks the beginning of a new understanding of their bodies and how to manage them. It is blended with vagus nerve stimulation and support of the upper body as well as energetic support of heart, lungs and throat chakra.
Session 7 – Vocalize Your Mental-Spiritual Clarity
The seventh session concentrates on the thoracic outlet (neck, shoulders and head). Now that we’ve established relative balance in the rest of the body, we are ready to bring the head into alignment with the other parts – something we would not have been able to do previously. The session is focused on clearing the emotional frequency houses of the heart upward, drawing attention to the throat and gental stimulation of the vagus nerve to help in the processing of blocked emotions still possibly residing in the chest as well as release of chest armour lingering in neck and cranial connectors.
Session 8 and 9 – Harmonized Integration of the Body As One (Assessment Time for Future Series)
These two sessions work in tandem to bring all of the work done previously into harmony. Typically, one session will focus on either the upper body or lower half of the body, while the following session is directed towards the other half. The goal here is to ensure that the body and energy segments are working together smoothly and the client understands basic skills to use at home to self-harmonize.
Session 10 – Relax and Renew Closure
This is the closure session. Any areas still needing attention will be addressed here to complete the series and create a uniform whole.
